Adult Counselling for Anxiety, Burnout, Parenting & Life Transitions
Life requires balancing so many pieces - work or school, relationships, parenting, health, life's daily demand. Sometimes it can feel like you are not good enough - where you strive to do things so well, and yet anxiety, depression, and even self-doubt creep in. It's tiring and lonely feeling this way - being in the midst of managing life's demands, devoted to caring for the people you love for the most in the best way possible, or maybe just trying to figure out your way forward in the world and yet experiencing a stuckness, a sense of failure, or maybe feeling unseen.
I understand. I have empathy for you, and I want to hear your story. I want to understand what it is like for you, what you are carrying, and what has brought you here. I believe it is so important to be able to verbalize life's struggles - to say it out loud without being judged and be seen and cared for. To be allowed to cry, to feel the pain, and to sit with this before jumping to solutions.
Together, we'll explore where your struggles, anxiety and patterns may have began- in childhood or beyond — and how those early patterns continue to show up in the way you think, feel, and move through the world now. We'll take a close look at what's happening in your life today, how the anxiety continues to affect your relationships, your work, and your sense of self, and we'll build the knowledge and skills you need to navigate it and move forward with more confidence. It never ceases to amaze me how turning inward, being truly witnessed, and feeling genuinely supported can create real, lasting change. Over time, people begin to feel calmer, lighter, more hopeful, and more like themselves again.
I also have a special interest in supporting parents of young adults experiencing "failure to launch." If you're wondering what's getting in the way of your young adult moving forward — and how to support their confidence, independence, and life skills without doing it for them — I'd love to help. I also love to work with young adults who are trying to figure out their next steps in life.
What Working Together Looks Like
I strive to create a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what's weighing on you. It would be an honour to work alongside you as we make sense of what's happening, discover the strengths you already have and find practical ways to move forward. Let me help you explore your thoughts and feelings while focusing on practical solutions for emotional growth and developing resilience.
My approach is client-centred with each person bringing unique experiences and goals, so we'll find what fits you. Like many of my clients, I've turned to counselling myself through anxiety, grief, and other life challenges, so I understand both the courage it takes to seek help and the difference it can make. What stays constant in my work is building trust, listening closely, and truly understanding what you're going through
About Kyle
Before becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I spent much of my career in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, patient support, and relationship management—work that taught me how to build trust, listen closely, and understand what people truly need. Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams also deepened my appreciation for how closely our physical and emotional health are connected.
Earning my Master of Counselling Psychology was a long-held goal, and I feel fortunate to now be doing the work I was meant to do.
I also bring a wealth of life experience to my work. Married for over 30 years and a mother of three, and 2 furbabies, I’ve navigated my own share of anxiety, stress, grief, health challenges, and relationship and parenting struggles—and I've turned to counselling myself along the way. I know firsthand the courage it takes to ask for help, and the difference it can make.
It would be an honour to support you as you build on your strengths, work through life’s challenges, and and move toward becoming the best version of yourself.

##Free Guide: When Your Adult Child Won't Launch
If you're the parent of a twenty-something who seems stuck (ie. not working, not in school, retreating into their room), you're not alone, and it's not just about motivation.
Kyle has put together a free printable worksheet, Failure to Launch - A Parent's Working Guide, with practical ways to support your young adult's independence without losing yourself in the process.

FAQs
Who does Kyle work with?
I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, low self-esteem, chronic health concerns, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, and life's many transitions.
My adult child won't launch. Can counselling help?
Yes, I specialize in supporting parents of young adults who are struggling to find their footing. Together, we'll explore what's going on, build healthy boundaries, and help you navigate this stage with more confidence.
What is Kyle's approach to counselling?
My approach is warm and collaborative, drawing on CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion—tailored to each person's needs and goals.
Does Kyle have lived experience with some of the challenges her clients face?
Like many of my clients, I've navigated anxiety, grief, health struggles, and difficult relationships—and sought counselling myself. I know the courage it takes to ask for help, and the difference a supportive relationship can make.
What can I expect during my first session?
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other—we'll talk about what's bringing you in, what support you're looking for, and start shaping a plan that fits your goal
Can counselling help if I look like I'm coping, but don't feel like I am?
Absolutely. Many of the people I work with are capable, caring, and used to being the person others depend on. From the outside, they appear to be managing well, but inside they're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or like they've lost themselves somewhere along the way. Counselling can provide a safe space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and find practical ways to move forward.
